The first question we must ask is about their ‘Energy.’ If they traveled from deep space hundreds of light-years away, what power moves them? Our fossil fuels or batteries might seem like primitive toys to them. Does their energy come from the subatomic level, used with extreme precision? Criticism and dismissal of repeated phenomena require no effort at all. However, imagining their origin brings new possibilities to humanity. The important thing is not what is true or false, but that we have begun to imagine new possibilities that can change the course of human history. Our numerous “presents” are merely the lagging results of what we first consciously perceived and imagined.
